2024 Rankings: Top Uncommitted MIF's

TJ Hunt
Director, PBR New Jersey

A modest 2024 NJ Player Rankings update was completed shortly before the New Year that featured a couple new names to surface as the top players in the state - most notably, Virginia commit INF Luke Dickerson taking over the No. 1 slot.

Sifting through the ranks, there are still a ton of talented players on the board in this class. With solid spring high school seasons and continuing that momentum into the summer, these players could come off the board quickly. Let's delve into the top names by position, continuing with the top uncommitted catchers in the junior class

Top Ranked Uncommitted MIFs

Sergio Droz SS / RHP / Millville, NJ / 2024

Droz made a big splash at the Future Games last summer with his athleticism in the infield and abililty to work tough at bats against high velocity. He was consistently on the barrel against some of the top underclass arms in the country. There's a quiet intensity to his game. Room to fill out at 5-foot-11 165-pounds, Droz's metrics speak for themselves: 6.94 60 and 86 mph arm across the INF with the glovework to stick at SS. He's also in the mid-80s on the mound and pounds the bottom half of the zone. Droz is a guy to keep an eye on.

Aaron Del Tin SS / 2B / Rumson-Fair Haven, NJ / 2024

Del Tin was another member of the Future Games team for New Jersey last summer. Rangey, athletic build at 6-feet 180-pounds. Steady glovework in the infield and a consistent line drive hitter at the plate. Expect Del Tin to contribute in big ways on one of the top public school teams in the state in Rumson-Fair Haven in 2023.

Andrew Shank SS / RHP / Lenape, NJ / 2024

Shank is a sparkplug type guy for any program. Short, quick stroke through the zone with line drive pop through the middle of the field - Shank plays the game fast. Prep step to start, smooth footwork through the ball and throws that top at 86 mph across the diamond. Shank is a gamer and a tough out for any pitcher. He returns for his junior campaign where he led Lenape in hits with 26 and second on the team in RBI with 20.
