Quick Hitters: Combine Academy Position Players

Matt Payne
Director of Scouting, PBR of NC

PBR North Carolina was on hand in Lincolnton, NC on Saturday February 6th for a Scout Day with Combine Academy. 25 players went through the workout portion of the scout day. Combine Academy features kids from North Carolina as well as kids from other states and countries.

The position players led off the day with a full pro-style workout.  Players ran a laser timed 60, followed by an offensive evaluation and defensive evaluation.  During live BP, TrackMan was able to gather ball flight information off the bat.  After the pro-style workout, pitchers faced hitters in a controlled scrimmage with Trackman gathering information on each arm.

Below we highlight some of the position players who stood out during the pro-style workout and live scrimmage.
