Future Games: NJ Ties Midwest 9-9 in Game 1

Team New Jersey tied Team Midwest (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska) 9-9 in a hard fought contest.

In the bottom of the first, 2024 OF Colin Richter (Roxbury) got the offense started with a double to CF. Richter was brought home on 2025 SS Jamie Zee Jr.'s RBI single.

In the second, 2024 C Jake Howlett (Wall) launched a solo home run to right field, the first home run at the Future Games for a Team New Jersey player since 2016.

In the 5th, 2024 OF Grant Hunter (Lenape) and 2025 SS Logan Dawson (Eastern) walked. 2024 3B Jack Harley (Delbarton) ripped a 2 out triple to score both. Harley was brought home on Howlett's second homer of the day, this one a towering no-doubter to LF.

In the 6th, NJ got the first three runners on base via walk. 2024 OF Trent Jenks (Chatham) drove in a run on a fielder's choice, followed by an RBI single by 2025 SS Dylan Henshaw (Don Bosco Prep).

In the bottom of the 7th, Richter walked and then stole two bases to get to third. Zee drove the game tying run in on a long sac fly to CF.
