Through the all the nor’easters, black ice, road salt stains, and your occasional common cold lies a time of the year that throws all baseball players, coaches, parents, and scouts alike into a frenzy: the spring.

April 1st and the start of the 2019 Spring Season will be here before you know it, and we will be out and about providing our second-to-none boots-on-the-ground scouting to the Garden State. To power us Northeasterners through the despair of the long winter months, we will be highlighting teams and players of note for this coming season

OUTLOOK
Coach Spina's program has been a staple of excellence in North Jersey allure for more than a decade. Year after year, the Bulldogs throw out some of the top talent in the state - and this year is no different. With the loss of Oklahoma State signee John Kelly to graduation, Rutherford reloads with 2020 LHP Jacob Gomez (Old Dominion) and RHP/SS Breyln Jones - who is certainly in the conversation when the MLB Draft comes along in June. The staff will also rely on a pair of talented uncommitted right handers in CJ Fransisco and Eric Wernicki - both are Division I caliber arms that possess fastballs in the mid to upper 80s. The offense will be led by table-setter Abellany Mendez and Jones; expect Dom Mauro, Gavin Prince (2020), Nico Mundo, and Regan Landrigan to be mainstays in the lineup once again. Coach Spina's outlook on 2019: "[I] Expect the team to have a great season and continue the tradition of outstanding baseball from RHS."
