Northeast States Create "Northeast Future Games" Due to COVID-19

PBR Staff

Due to concerns over travel advisories to various states and recommended/mandatory quarantine upon return home, the PBR Directors of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts will all come together and compete in their own Future Games Northeast starting on July 30th and running through August 4th.

The "Future Games Northeast" will include the Junior Future Games Teams (13U and 14U) for these five states as well. Starting on July 30th and running through August 1st, the Northeast Junior Future Games will run in Dubois at two state-of-the-art turf stadiums in Dubois, PA.

The Future Games for rising sophomores and juniors in high school will start on August 2nd and run through August 4th. All Future Games workouts and games will be live streamed using BFA Live Sports and will be open for college coaches to view.

"In these unprecedented times, we have to be able to evaluate and adjust where necessary" explained PBR New Jersey Director TJ Hunt. "All five states have a great relationship and we were essentially turn-key at the drop of a hat with the news. We are all concerned about our players and event attendees and saw this venture as the path of least resistance in these trying times. This event will have the same competitive feel as the event running simultaneously at Lakepoint."
