Scouting Report

PBR Mid-Atlantic ProCase (October 28th, 2018)
6-foot-2, 185-pound Kentucky commit stood out from a group of 18 quality pitchers on the day. The righty sat 90-92 out of a 3/4 arm slot. Delivery is up tempo with a loose, quick arm action that produces heavy sink and arm-side run on his fastball. Curveball at 80-82 has late sweeping action and should transition into a quality slider in the future. Changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed with same sinking action as his fastball. Will break lots of wood bats in his future while producing plenty of ground ball outs.

Preseason All-State Showcase (February 11th, 2017)
Cole has a lanky build at 6-foot-2 171-pounds. Penn State recruit. Ran the 60 in 7.92 seconds. Offensively- starts in a balanced stance with hands high above back shoulder. Uses a leg kick to start swing. Hands load down and back. Shows some explosiveness in swing and finish. Exit Velocity topped at 88 mph. Defensively- throws topped at 82 mph across the infield from 3B. Exchange is clean and quick. Long, loose arm action on throws. Pitching- Fastball topped at 85 mph, sat mostly 83-84. Showed a breaking ball at 67-68 with slurvy action. Flashed a changeup with armside run at 76 mph. Athletic balance point, creates good drive off back leg as he goes down the mound. Quick arm action from 3/4 slot. Recoils on release, finishes toward first base side of rubber.
