This event highlighted some of the brightest stars in the 2027 class, featuring players ranked across the national leaderboard. These are names we are likely to hear for years to come. The USA 15U team embarked on a five-game tour, giving players a chance to visit college campuses and compete against Team Australia. Below is a detailed breakdown of standout performances from this talented group.


IMPACT BATS:

‘27 OF Jared Grindlinger (Huntington Beach, CA) - 

Ranking: National No.1 

Build: Lean athlete, 6'0", 160 lbs.

The No. 1 player in the country lived up to his billing with a standout performance. While some might view him as a pitcher first, his athleticism and potential at the plate are undeniable. Grindlinger displayed a fluid forward move with excellent hand adjustability, collecting three hits in a single game. His advanced feel for using the whole field was evident as he drove a gap-oppo double and blasted a home run into the bleachers.

A former TCU commit now reopening his recruitment, Grindlinger plays with confidence and poise in all aspects of the game. His ability to patrol centerfield with precision complements his offensive skills. His swing mechanics showcase a controlled forward fall, a pull-back motion with the hands, and a wrist-driven flow that generates effortless power and barrel control. Grindlinger’s combination of tools, athleticism, and moxie ensures he’ll remain a must-watch talent in the 2027 class.


‘27 OF Jacob Seamon (Metrolina Christian, NC)

Ranking: National No. 6

Build: Physical 6'4", 175 lbs.

Seamon boasts a wide-shouldered frame with long levers, presenting the prototype for a power bat with corner outfield potential. His impressive strength and body control stood out as he demonstrated the ability to drive the ball to all fields, pulling the ball with authority and going oppo with ease. His approach at the plate, paired with balance and a natural knack for timing, suggests middle-of-the-order potential.

With flashes of a Freddie Freeman-like presence, Seamon tracks pitches effectively and maintains excellent posture throughout his swing. His ability to adjust and consistently get his foot down on time speaks to his advanced hitting mechanics. A high-upside bat, Seamon is poised to be a standout offensive force in the 2027 class.


‘27 IF Rocco Maniscalco (Oxford, AL) -

Ranking:  National No. 16

A standout performer, Maniscalco has risen to 16th nationally and cemented himself as one of the top bats in the 2027 class. Out of all the hitters observed at this USA event, his performance left a lasting impression. His physicality is immediately noticeable, with broad shoulders and a strong lower half at 6'1", 190 lbs.

Maniscalco demonstrated elite body control and a swing that generates explosive contact. In one standout sequence, he drove a two-strike base hit the other way and later turned on a pitch in a hitter’s count for a home run. His swing operation is marked by a tall posture, loose but steady hands, and a remarkably still head, enabling consistent timing and precise barrel control.

A true power bat with a strong foundation, Maniscalco’s combination of physicality, approach, and bat speed makes him a name to watch closely for years to come. 


CALI Shortstops:

‘27 SS Parker Leoff (Redondo Union High, CA)

Ranking: National No. 77

Build: 5'10", 165 lbs, lean athlete with twitch.

Leoff is an athletic, instinctive shortstop with standout movement patterns at the plate. He employs a tall setup with a unique yet effective gather, demonstrating an advanced ability to trust and repeat his athletic swing mechanics. His forward move is smooth and fluid, creating a connected swing with a natural feel to hit.

In one game, Leoff showcased his ability to adjust and stay on pitches, driving a low-and-away pitch the other way for a double. His approach is both controlled and balanced, emphasizing a middle-of-the-field profile that suits his skill set.

With his combination of athleticism, feel for the barrel, and consistency, Leoff projects as a dynamic middle infielder and one to watch closely in the 2027 class.


‘27 SS Jordan Kurz (Orange Lutheran, CA)

Ranking: National No. 205

Build: Lean 6'0", 175 lbs, with room to add strength.

Kurz brings a well-rounded skill set to the field, showcasing advanced body control throughout his swing. With a tall setup and a smooth toe-tap load, he demonstrates impressive barrel skills and a consistent line-drive path at the plate. His athleticism is evident, as he gets out of the box quickly and plays the game with fluidity.

Defensively, Kurz has the instincts and polished actions necessary to remain at shortstop. He moves smoothly through the ball and displays the ability to make accurate throws on the run.


‘27 SS Andrew Jimenez (Elsinore High, CA)

Ranking: CA No. 15

Build: 5'10", 165 lbs, Twitchy and athletic.

Jimenez is a dynamic athlete who consistently puts together quality at-bats. He showcases advanced adjustability in the lower part of the zone, generating impressive lag through the zone with his free-flowing, athletic swing.

His lower half works efficiently, driving the back knee down to create power and balance. Combined with excellent barrel awareness for his age, Jimenez demonstrates a mature approach and the ability to make consistent, impactful contact.


ARMS: 

‘27 RHP Camden Boehm (East Lake, FL)

Ranking: National No. 79

Build: 6'3", 175 lbs, Strength present. 

Boehm delivered an impressive five-inning outing that highlighted his potential as a starter and his ability to perform consistently. The young right-hander operates from a high slot with a loose, wiry arm that projects well for the future.

His fastball sat at 86-89 mph, showing good life and setting the tone for his repertoire. Boehm’s curveball, with true shape and depth at 72-75 mph, induced multiple whiffs, making it a reliable swing-and-miss offering. However, his standout pitch was his changeup, sitting at 78-80 mph, which showed excellent kill-spin characteristics and the ability to manipulate its shape effectively.

Striking out 10 in this outing, Boehm demonstrated poise and polish on the mound. With his arsenal and projectable frame, he is an arm on the rise in the 2027 class.


‘27 RHP Andrew Brech (GA)

Ranking: National No. 76

Build: 5'10", 160 lb, Athletic with a loose arm. 

Brech is a fast-rising pitching prospect from Georgia with a standout lower-slot delivery that adds deception to his arsenal. In his five-inning outing, he showcased impressive command and stuff, striking out seven hitters.

His fastball sat at 85-89 mph, and with added strength, there’s room for further velocity gains. Brech’s high front arm action enhances his ability to tunnel pitches effectively, creating a deceptive look that keeps hitters off balance.

His breaking ball, featuring an 11/5 shape at 72-75 mph, is a true weapon. Brech manipulates the shape and velocity of the pitch with advanced feel, making it difficult for hitters to adjust. He also flashed a solid changeup at 77 mph, rounding out a three-pitch mix with significant upside.
