Uncommitted Spotlight: Jackson Redmond

Scouting Notes:

Jackson Redmond has been a key contributor for Freehold Township since his first moments on campus. As a freshman, he logged an impressive 38.2 innings, striking out 34 batters while issuing only 9 walks. This stellar performance resulted in a standout 1.63 ERA. In his sophomore campaign, Redmond continued to demonstrate his reliability on the mound, pitching 22 innings with 11 strikeouts, 4 walks, and a 3.18 ERA.

At 6-foot-5 with long, projectable levers, Redmond’s frame is built for durability and development. A consistent strike-thrower, he shows advanced feel for his changeup, which complements a fastball that typically sits in the 84-86 mph range, with occasional velocity spikes into the upper 80s. His arsenal also features a sweeper that, along with the changeup, he tunnels effectively to keep hitters off balance.

Redmond’s potential lies not just in his present skill set but also in his room for growth. With added strength and a strong junior season, he has the tools to attract significant attention from college programs. As one of the top uncommitted arms in the area, he’s a name to watch as recruiting continues to heat up.
