The 2025 Nevada High School baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams throughout the Silver State.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons by raising the 2025 NIAA State Championship trophy, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams throughout Nevada and will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Top 10 Rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

TEAM OUTLOOK

Churchill County out of Fallon, Nevada comes off an impressive 2024 Season, making a deep run that saw them punch their ticket to the Class 3A State Tournament. This Spring, behind a Core Four of Seniors, the Greenwave have their sites set on another run for the ultimate prize. 

Behind Uncommitted LHP and Reno Top Prospect Games standout, James Kelsey, this group has their "big game arm" that they will be able to roll out throughout this coming Spring. His fastball running up to 87.1 mph with a projectable breaking ball and much more to come has him primed for a significant Spring on the mound. A pair of Reno Preseason ID attendees in Chase Carnahan and Anthony Juarez are also expected to play significant roles this year in the heart of the lineup with fellow senior Nathaniel Zackery also set to be a key difference maker in the Greenwave lineup. 

We expect this group to be one of the file groups standing in the 3A Class this coming Spring behind this talented core.
