The 2025 Nevada High School baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams throughout the Silver State.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons by raising the 2025 NIAA State Championship trophy, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams throughout Nevada and will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Top 10 Rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

TEAM OUTLOOK

This Shadow Ridge group is primed for their breakout Spring with a great mix of Upperclass leadership and arms to go with the Underclass talent that has the Mustangs set for years to come. Behind second year Head Coach, Billy McCall, this group will be on that we expect to grind out games with seniors, Jackson Nelson and Gustavo Crawford, set to be the two big game arms. The Mustangs projected middle infield in Evan Noble and Marco Montesanti is going to be one to watch this Spring with both prospect being excellent athletes that are primed to lead this group on the offensive side as well. An Under the Radar prospect who we expect to have his breakout Spring would be junior, Marvin Reed-Espejo, who we have seen consistently progress each time out with us on both sides of the ball, but especially on the offensive side with his metrics landing him near the top of his class. The four Newcomers to Know in Eddie Peterson, Brayden Leavitt, Gio Galvin and Payton Bryan could be the difference makers on both sides of the ball for this group. Keep an eye on Shadow Ridge this Spring as a group that could be a few breaks away from a deep playoff run.
