The 2025 Nevada High School baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams throughout the Silver State.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons by raising the 2025 NIAA State Championship trophy, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams throughout Nevada and will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Top 10 Rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

TEAM OUTLOOK

This Silverado group comes off a deep playoff run in 2024 with a majority of their squad returning to try and run in back this Spring. With the Upperclass leadership paired with an exciting 2026 Class that includes TCU Commit and RHP, Gio Guariglia, and standout utility player, Hogan Hawkins, who we expect to be the catalyst on both sides of the ball. The two-way depth at Silverado is nothing new as the historic program has pumped out multiple draft picks and high level D1 recruits that were valuable on both sides of the ball with the latest being Anaheim Angels RHP, Chris Cortez, and White Sox RHP, Tanner McDougal. This Spring is no different with nine starters and eight pitchers returning, making this group one of the favorites to raise the State Title trophy in May.
