2028 Class Rankings | Initial Release

We continue the Prep Baseball Rankings Season with the inaugural Class of 2028 Rankings. With the 2025-2027 Classes proving to be stacked with talent well beyond the Top 10, this 2028 Class has already begun to make noise on the national stage, including a number of players who showed out at the 2024 Junior Future Games. The initial Top 25 prospects will continue to expand over the next few years and we expect this group to be another deep class that will see big time commitments in the coming years.

Coming in at #1 in Nevada's initial 2028 Class Rankings drop, Knudson has already started to become a household name with early success on the national scene. The standout at the 2024 Las Vegas Rising Stars ID has already shown his present, advanced action on both sides of the ball much more projected to come. Expect the freshman to make an early impact with the reigning State Champions, Palo Verde, this coming Spring and with the Class of 2028 National Rankings coming out tomorrow, Noah Knudson is a name you can expect to see high on the list. |

Austin Rodriguez RHP / 3B / Liberty, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 2 / POS: 1
The physical freshman comes in at #2 in Nevada's initial 2028 Rankings after a successful summer on the mound. His advanced arsenal that has seen his fastball already up into the mid-upper 80's with much more projected to come has Rodriguez primed for a big Spring with the Liberty Patriots. Keep you eye on this one as a player who not only could make an early impact, but could also insert himself as a key piece of their rotation that is shaping up to be one that no one will look forward to facing. |

Derek Wenzel RHP / OF / Basic Academy, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 2
A standout at the 2024 Las Vegas Rising Stars ID, Wenzel lands at #3 in Nevada's initial 2028 Class Rankings drop. The Basic Academy product is another Nevada freshman that has made his presence known on the national scene with advanced actions on both sides of the ball and much more projected to coming over the next few years. As college rosters sizes shrink to just 34 players, the two-way prospects will be of high value and this one that could very well do both at the next level. |

Bryson Lee 2B / OF / Basic, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 1
The youngest of the Lee Army has already proven he will live up to the family name after proving he can hang with the Top 2028's in the country after his performance at the 2024 Junior Future Games. Already a high level defender, the bat is what is going to separate Lee as he gives off the present confidence it takes to hit and play at a high level. This is another freshman that we expect could be an early impact type player for Basic Academy, who has their sites set to raise the State Title trophy this coming Spring. |

Cooper Offermann C / OF / Faith Lutheran High School, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 1
Coming in at #5 in Nevada's initial 2028 Class Rankings, Offerman announced his presence at the 2024 Las Vegas Rising Stars ID and continued to prove himself with a successful Summer campaign. Already registering a sub 2.00 Pop Time, the advanced athleticism shines through in each part of his game with a line drive producing swing that we expect to see his power potential turn into present power in the coming years. |
