Game Notes - Arbor View at Basic Academy

Buddy Gouldsmith
Nevada Scouting Director

HENDERSON, NV – On a cool and breezy night the Basic Wolves hosted the Arbor View Aggies in a preseason affair.  The teams could be considered to be two post-season players come May with rosters filled with both present and rising starts.  Stanford commit, ’21 Garrett Cutting (Arbor View) threw three scoreless and the Basic Academy staff matched him, knotting it at zero.  The Wolves erupted in the middle innings thanks to Aggie defensive miscues and free passes.  The Aggies totaled 6 errors in all and a number of base on balls, allowing Basic to carry an 11-2 lead into the 7th.  ’21 Hunter Katschke drove in two runs, while teammate, Zach Hose plated 3, together they earned half of the Wolves hits.  The Aggies would load the bases to challenge the Basic lead when ’19 Brennan Holligan, a CSN commit, would double, plating two and cutting the lead.  However, that would be all for the Aggies and Basic would preserve the win, 11-5.
