PBR Nevada will be covering multiple games a week, bringing to you: game recaps, player spotlights, and updated power rankings.

GAME RECAP

RANCHO (4) - CENTENNIAL (2)

This matchup had all the makings of being a Bulldogs victory as Rancho has found themselves stumbling early this Spring, but after a pair of wins last week they seem to have caught their stride and continued that yesterday with a huge upset of the #4 ranked Centennial Bulldogs. The Rams jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first with an RBI sac fly from Uncommitted 2022 IF/RHP, Brant Hannon, then followed by a bloop single to right field that brought in another run, making it 2-0 after 1. Sophomore infielder, Ryan Soto, added a pair of hits that brought in the third and fourth runs for Rancho, giving them a 4-0 lead after four complete. After scratching one across in the top of the 5th, the Bulldogs made it interesting the top of the 7th, working the bases loaded when freshman IF, Noa Oyadomari, line a single off the pitcher that brought in CSN signee, Logan Cockrill, to cut the lead down to 2, but were unable to capitalize with a final score of 4-2. Uncommitted 2022 right hander, Tyler Ray, attacked the zone early and often using his primarily fastball/slider mix that he show comfortability to use each pitch in any count as well as working with pace throughout his outing earning him Player of the Game honors.
