Prep Baseball Report

Nevada ProCase Preview: Tanner McDougal

Brett Harrison
Nevada Scouting Director

A Future Games attendee, McDougal has steady improved throughout his prep career with this abilities on the mound having blossomed over the past couple months with fastball that has been up to 94 mph this summer. At 6-foot-5 with a three quarter arm slot, he creates downhill action with arm side life on both his fastball and changeup with sweeping action on a slider that present some potential plus action. The Oregon commit was the highest riser in our recent 2021 PBR Player Rankings coming in at the #5 Overall with his string of quality starts throughout the summer with his velocity steadily climbing and ultimately earning him a spot on the Reds Area Codes team. He was one of only a few pitchers on the Reds Area Codes team that registered two appearances with his second appearance only being one inning, but striking out three batters in his one inning of relief. McDougal and fellow Silverado teammate, Chris Cortez, look to be the next set of Skyhawks with the Major League Baseball draft in their sights following a success PBR Nevada ProCase and senior campaign.
