The #1 ranked Gaels opened up the season with an impressive 9-1 win in a Top 3 matchup against a talented Faith Lutheran group behind a 3 hit combined effort from St. Mary’s signee, Kamdyn Perry, and Oregon signee, Kaden Soder. The bats produced 13 hits and did so again the #22 Regionally ranked Corona Panthers out of Southern California, with 3 for 4 day at the plate from Dallas Baptist signee, Aiden Pollok, and a two extra base hits including a grand slam from Oregon commit and #2 ranked 2024, Burke Mabeus. This is a group who seems to be just now scratching the surface of what they can do with some of their key bats still looking to break through and their is no better time than now as Bishop Gorman heads down to the stacked Boras Classic in Arizona.

The Wolves have held their own as well with a 3-0 start with one being against the #3 ranked Faith Lutheran Crusaders. Their talented upperclassmen in Oregon signee - Cooper Sheff, Tennessee commit - Ty Southisene, GCU signee - Ben Smith and USC commit, Tee Southisene have lead the way, but the difference makers this year will be their young core in USC commit - Tate Southisene, Troy Southisene, Texas A&M commit, Andruw Giles that create the heart of their order and will be called up on time and time again in their young prep careers in big situations.

Though the Crusaders have gotten off to a slower start than expected, there is no denying how talented and deep this roster is with an impressive pitching rotation to go with it. They came out of the gate with back to back matchups against the #1 and #2 ranked teams in the state, suffering losses in both but were able to bounce back against a gritty and always tough Coronado group. As Faith Lutheran gets their feet underneath them and the team starts to catch their stride, this is a group that we expect to make a lot of noise this Spring and is one that we would not be surprised to make a deep run into the post season.

The Gators have impressed each time we have been out with a 7-1 record that has shown a balanced attack with a their key bats at the top of order in pair of CSN signees, Brady Ballinger and Chaz McNelis, continuing to produce while their arms have consistently pounded the zone and forced teams to out hit them. The heart of their order and the bottom of lineup have been the just as impressive, lead by a breakout sophomore campaign from Uncommitted infielder, Caden Kirby, who announced his presence at the Green Valley Scout Day this past preseason and carried that into a multiple multi-hit games already this Spring. This is a group that continues to apply pressure down to the last pitch and we expect them to continue making that impression throughout the Spring.

This Desert Oasis group has come out of the gates on fire, winning the opening weekend tournament behind their core group of seniors in Long Beach State signee - Jet Gilliam, USC commit - Seth Graham Pippin, Shoreline signee - Jake Cook, Uncommitted right hander, Adrian Mejia and Colorado Springs recruit - Tyler Kennedy. Now 7-1 heading into Spring Break, the Diamondbacks are ready for this weeks challenge against some of the best teams in the West Region at the Boras Classic in Arizona. The three arms in Pippin, Kennedy and Mejia have all settled in quickly this Spring with Pippin leading the rotation with 17 strikeouts over his first two starts this year to go with a pair of hot bats at the top of the order with Gilliam hitting .364 and Cook hitting .500 through their first 8 games.
