The Southern Nevada Open Scout Day in completed, we now take a look back at the standouts from yesterday's event. The Scout Day included a Pro-Style Workout where players ran a Laser Timed 60 Yard Dash, took a Batting Practice, Catcher Pop Times/Velocity, Outfield Evaluations/Velocity and Infield Evaluation/Velocity concluding with Pitches Bullpens. This was an open event for 2021-2024 players in Southern Nevada whose programs were not able to host their own Scout Day.

The Southern Nevada Open Scout Day was stacked with Uncommitted talent, especially in the 2022 and 2023 classes with the junior class headlining most of the leaderboards with the sophomores closely behind. The day got started with Oak Hills (CA) OF, Jordan Domingue, running a 6.81 Laser Timed 60, closely followed by 2022 Arbor View OF, Joel Vidana's, 6.82. The bats were alive on Saturday as a pair of 2023's and Future Games hopefuls, Easton Shelton and Ty Silva at the top of the Raw Exit Velocity leaderboard with 94 mph and 93 mph, respectively. Nevada's top ranked Uncommitted 2022 C, Logan Cockrill, posted not only the Saturday's Top Pop Time, but one of the Top Pop Times of all Scout Days up to the this point with an accurate 1.88 time. Legacy's 2022, two-way prospect, De'Jon Mitchell, threw the days Top Outfield Velocity of 87 mph, which translated well to the mound where he ran it up to 85 mph with some rawness still in his delivery and command. Small school prospect out of Moapa Valley, 2022 SS Rylan Evans, complimented his smooth action in the infield with the Top Infield Velocity of 84 mph across the diamond. On the mound, 2022 RHP, Gavin Stevenson, posted the Top Fastball Velocity of 87 mph to go with his three secondary pitches.
