Scouting Report

Crawford, an Arizona recruit and son of former MLB All-Star Carl Crawford, is the fastest player in the class with the ability to run sub 6.2 60-yard dash time (6.19). Still maturing and filling out a wide-shouldered 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame, Crawford oozes projection with his athleticism, and effortlessly prances to his highest speed with long, smooth strides. Separating him from some of the other top outfielders in this class is his left-handedness which will only put even greater pressure on defenses, and there is some natural bat-to-ball skills present at the plate. Intriguingly, Crawford produced 97 mph exit velocities with quality Blast metric readings at the PBR Nevada Procase even though his frame is only now just starting to fill out. This shines well on what the future may hold as the added strength that is sure to come will definitely bolster the bat speed, and potentially the power potential. Crawford is likely to spend the spring at a corner outfield position with talented Bishop Gorman 2021, CF Santino Panaro, a UNLV recruit, manning center, so the summer circuit is likely to be the first that scouts are able to see him there. With the frame continuing to fill out, Crawford easily has one of, if not the highest, ceilings in the class, and as the bat continues to develop, could inevitably find himself in the top 10.
