Uncommitted Spotlight: '20 Brant Hunt

Brett Harrison
Nevada Scouting Director

Brant Hunt comes from one of the most respected programs in the state in Silverado and is the catcher for arguably the best one-two punch on the mound in the state in Arizona commit, Chris Cortez, and Oregon commit, Tanner McDougal. His improved receiving skill over the past year have made him into a solid receiver that can handle velocity and above average secondary pitches, while also possessing the athleticism to find a spot in the outfield with with confident routes that lead into a disciplined long hop on each of his throws at the Top Prospect Showcase last year. This prospect has projectable tools at a premium position with secondary position potentional and hit .343 as a junior last year for the Skyhawks. Hunt is an extremely hard worker both on the baseball field as well as inside the classroom and will be honored as the Valedictorian at Silverado this year with his perfect 4.0 unweighted (4.8 weighted) GPA.

"He is on of the hardest working kid I know. Ultimate team guy with the brain of a genius. Solid mechanics behind the plate and a high energy guy who knows how to control the game." Former Silverado Coach, Jered Ferdinand
