Uncommitted Spotlight: '20 Everett Williams

A prospect that has continued to progress throughout his high school career, Everett Williams was poised to have a big year for Damonte Ranch after being named the Northern Region Offensive Player of the Year. Living in the heart of the Mustangs lineup last season and in this shortened 2020 season, he has proven himself as a prospect with the ability to swing it at the next level hitting .446 as a Junior including six doubles, twenty-four runs and seventeen RBI's to with it. The #1 ranked 3B in the 2020 Class, Williams was off to a hot start in his senior campaign hitting .385 with six RBIs while drawing eight walks in the six games his team played this year. At the Nevada All-State Games, he announced his presence with a multi hit day against some of the best arms the state has to offer, including a triple to right-centerfield that caught the attention of the PBR staff. 

Positional Profile: 3B. One of the top position players still available in Nevada. 
Body: 6-foot-0, 190-pounds. Stong with developed lower half
Defense: Moves well laterally. Good instincts, feel for 3B. 
Arm: IF - 79 mph. Capable of showing from multiple arm slots. Carry  and plus accuracy on throws
Hit: LHH. Athletic, slightly open stance. Sinks into load w/ a small leg kick. Gets foot down on time and with excellent hand speed. Level bat path through the zone w/ quality extension. Natural lift w/ consist solid contact. Uses the whole field
Power: 87 mph exit velocity from the tee. 
Run: 7.41 runner. 

This prospect is arguably the top position player still on the board in Nevada as a corner infielder with a high quality hit tool and should be drawing heavy attention as colleges are using this time to solidify their rosters for the 2021 season.
