Nevada's top ranked team stacked up against one of the top arms in the country, who ran it up to 97 mph, but that couldn't quiet the Basic bats as they put up 6 runs behind 7 hits, including homeruns from Giron, L. Lee and Troy Southisene. Future Gamer, Evans, stood tall on the mound, going 4.0, allowing 1 ER, while striking out 5. Giles capped off his big day on the mound, striking out 3 over his 3 IP, allowing on 1 earned, help lead his team to a second round W at the Boras Classic.
(#4) Faith Lutheran	10	Moutain Ridge (AZ)	1
The Crusades wasted no time with a 3 spot in the bottom of the 1st with RBIs from Watkins and Collura (2). Shepard helped FL cross three more in the 4th with a 1B to RF that brought in 2 more. The final nails in the coffin were the homeruns from Shepard, Collura, extending the lead, letting Martin, Burke and Stringer do their thing on the mound, allowing 0 ER against a Top 10 ranked AZ team.
(#5) Las Vegas	13	(#6) Centennial	2
The #5 ranked Wildcats jumped out early and never looked back posting 4 multi-run innings with a 15 hit effort that saw multi-hit days from Vibubal, M. Martinez, McCown, Ponticello, Bull and Iverson, including two big HR's from McCown and Iverson. On the mound, LV rolled out their committee of top arms in Ponticello, M. Martinez and D. Martinez, who combined, allowed only 1 ER on their way to a run rule W.
(#7) Bishop Manogue	8	McQueen	1
The Miners had a loud day at the plate as they put up 8 runs on 10 hits with 8 players registering a hit. But, the show was on the mound where South Carolina commit, Dolan, earned his first career Complete Game No Hitter, striking out 10 along the way. He also added a triple on offensive side of the ball that brought in 2 runs to help out his own cause. Pitcher of the Week candidate!
(#9) Reno	17	Chaparral (AZ)	3
With 4 runs posted in the 1st, that was all UCLA Signee, Edwards, needed, striking out 3 over his 4 IP. The Huskies were lead by big days at the plate from Dalen, Edwards, Jones, Chick and Vandegrift. Productive at-bats are the bread and butter of Reno Baseball and 17 RBIs on 16 hits with 5 BB and 0 K's, this was a dream game for the Huskies.
(#10) Foothill	7	Desert Oasis	4
After a win in G1 of the series, DO started right where they left off with a 3 run top of the 1st with the help of a Griffith RBI 2B. The Falcons answered back with 1 and continued to answer back with 6 more throuhgout the game with impressive offensive performances from Szymarek, Angelo and Gibson with Straily also clutching up with a 2 RBIs. The Elliot, Straily tandem allowed only 1 ER over the 7.0 IP.
