Prep Baseball Report

Andy Karlan's (NY) Decorated HS Career Nearing Its End

I have heard a lot of amateur baseball players names over the past year running New York for the Prep Baseball Report (PBR) - the leading independent scouting service in the country. A name I would hear quite frequently, in baseball circles, was a young man by the name of Andy Karlan - living in the Eastern-side of NY.

Karlan has been playing high-level baseball over the past 3-4 years making a name for himself across NYS and the National circuits. This past year Karlan officially committed to play his college-baseball at LIU-Brooklyn. "This last year has been very special to me", said Karlan. I started the summer determined to improve my baseball skills so the opportunity to play at the next level would be possible".

His determination would put his skills on display at some National scouting events where he held his own with some of the Nations best. The MLB Scouting Bureau thought highly enough of the 6-foot-0 catcher to do a report on him after seeing him play (which is sent out to all MLB teams).
