COMMITMENT CORNER Q AND A

PBR:
Tell us all about your recruitment process, when it started, and why you decided to commit to Marist?

Hart:  The recruiting process for me started  the summer going into my junior year. After participating in a PBR showcase, several colleges reached out to me with interest.  In late September, I visited  Marist with  my family and met with the coaches.  My family and I visited the school again in late October. I was impressed with the baseball program and coaches at Marist. I certainly felt that Marist was a good fit for me academically and athletically. I committed to Marist because I felt it was an excellent baseball program in the Northeast.

PBR:    Looking at your skillset on the baseball field, what would you say your biggest strength at the next-level will be?

Hart:   I’d say my biggest strength at the next-level would be my speed. I think my speed helps every aspect of my game, from tracking fly balls,  extending base hits and stealing bases.

PBR:   What’s your No. 1 priority going into the Winter in terms of getting prepared for next spring?

Hart:   My main priority this winter will be to focus  on improving my arm strength for outfield and pitching.

PBR:    Who is your biggest influence when it comes to playing the game of baseball?

Hart:   My biggest influence is definitely my dad. He’s the one who taught me how to play the game.  My dad and I have spent many hours on the field together working on my game.

PBR:   Prep Baseball Report’s No. 1 goal is to provide players with an unrivaled platform filled with next-level exposure through events and multi-media avenues. What’s your experience been with us?

Hart:   PBR’s showcases are the best in the business. They helped me get the exposure I needed from various college coaches.  PBR provided me with an opportunity to compete with and against many talented players.  I think the experience of attending a PBR showcase helped me identify skills I needed to work on in order to improve my game.
