PBR:  Tell us all about your recruitment process, when it started, and why you decided to commit to ? (enter your school into this question)

Coates:  I attended several PBR showcases over the summer and received interest from many schools. One program that stood out was Canisius College. It is a Northeast program that has had a lot of success in the MAAC that I have been following the past year. The quality of talent is very high and I have seen top players play there  from my area. I went on a visit with the coaches and was impressed with the school and the baseball program. Shortly after I committed.

PBR:  Looking at your skill-set on the baseball field, what would you say your biggest strength at the next-level will be?

Coates:  My biggest skill-set on the baseball field at the next level will probably me having a handful of good pitches I can throw and my competitiveness.

PBR:     What’s your No. 1 priority going into the Winter in terms of getting prepared for next spring?

Coates:   Having command of all my pitches and continue working out with my trainer Alex Simone and my pitching coach Dickey Woodridge,  so I can keep getting better.

PBR:   Who is your biggest influence when it comes to playing the game of baseball?

Coates:   My brother because he knows the game of baseball and is always honest with his feedback.

PBR:  Prep Baseball Report’s No. 1 goal is to provide players with an unrivaled platform filled with next-level exposure through events and multi-media avenues. What’s your experience been with us?

Coates: My experience has been very positive. PBR runs well organized showcases and provides athletes with a great format to get in front of college recruiters.  I also like the detailed write ups.
