Scouting Report
New York Games (July 7-9 2015) Stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, with an athletic body build.  He has a smooth approach through the ball, with smooth, soft, quick hands, throws with a clean loose action, arm is very strong across the diamond, plays through the ball nicely, with lots of range, and has accuracy on the target.  At the plate his setup is relaxed and very balanced, short stride, with a smooth load.  His hands are very compact and strong, swinging on a level plane with a mid-section finish with extension through the ball, with an athletic balance throughout the whole swing.  Brett is a plus infielder and powerful hitter who shows a lot of potential to progress to the next level in college.

Our Take
From a small, hidden high school in Western-NY Migliore impressed through several events over the past 12 months earning himself a commitment to Canisius College. Fast than he looks with an above average arm from the SS position. Real smooth actions at the plate from the left-side, pure hitter with signs of gap power. Migliore has the potential to be a special player at the college level.

2016 New York Games

Prep Baseball Report New York is pleased to announce the 2016 New York Games will take place on June 27 - 29 in Rochester NY. The 2016 New York Games is expected to be the most recruited and scouted event of the summer.

Scouts from three MLB franchises attended the 2015 games along with coaches from more than 70 colleges including Division I schools such as Bryant, St. John’s, St. Bonaventure, Cornell, Villanonva, Niagara, Iona, Radford, Campbell, Buffalo, Kent State, North Carolina Central, Boston College and Monmouth just to name a few.

More than 40 of last year’s participants registered 60 times under 7.049 players delivered exit velocities of 85 MPH or better. 10 catchers notched pop times south of 2.0. 3B Frankie Pizzo (Shenendehowa HS, 2016) topped 18 infielders who threw north of 80 registering 89 MPH across the diamond while 20 players threw 80 or better from the outfield.

The 2015 games brought together New York’s top talent from Long Island to Buffalo and everywhere in between. Nearly 190 players attended last years unique three-day event, as a result more than 20 players have received offers to play at the Division I level - several dozen more will go on to play college baseball. The 2016 games will only be better.
