PBR: Tell us where you grew up, when did you start playing baseball, and who were your baseball influences and why.

Hamilton: I was born and raised in Lockport NY. I started playing Little League Baseball at 5 years old. My biggest influence is my dad he got me started with baseball and still loves to play, also guys with speed that can get it done in the OF like Curtis Granderson, Coco Crisp, and Andrew McCutchen and of course the all time leader in stolen bases Rickey Henderson.

PBR: You have been receiving a lot of positive press lately. How does it feel?

Hamilton: It feels great.

PBR: The recruiting process can be messy, gives us your Top 3 schools? Do you have any offers on the table?

Hamilton: I was offered a full scholarship to San Jacinto in Houston TX and just recently verbally committed there. Also Southern University A&M offered 88% and I signed my NLI during the early signing period.

PBR: We know your very talented at baseball, but we hear your a high-end running back. Tell us about that .

Hamilton: Well, I played High School Football for 3 years my biggest game came against state finalist Orchard Park when I ran for 4 TD's to help Lockport get their first win in 7 years against Orchard Park.

PBR: Your ranked No. 18 in NY by us. How does that feel considering the size and talent in the state?

Hamilton: That's a great feeling there are a lot of talented guys here in New York and to be recognized by the Prep Baseball Report means a lot.

PBR: One of your greatest tools is your speed. Tell us about your quickness, best recorded times, and what are you doing to stay fast?

Hamilton: My speed has always come naturally from a very young age. My best time in the 60 is 6.32 and official time 6.37 at The Break-Through Series in Brooklyn NY. I workout with the Lockport High Indoor Track team to keep my speed up.

PBR: What's your training look like this winter? Goals for the spring?.

Hamilton: This winter I will be training in Canada with my travel team The Greatlake Canadians 18U we have the most talented group of coaches out, Kirk Barclay, Adam Stern, Chris Robinson, Jeff Helps and our Manager Adam Arnold to name just a few. My goals for the Spring will be to drive the ball through the gaps and let my speed play out and rack up a lot of stolen bases.

PBR: Tell us something about yourself others don't know but would like to know.

Hamilton: It has been one year that I have played at a competitive level since joining the Greatlake Canadians and they have helped me tremendously with developing my abilities.

Scouting Report On Hamilton
+ No. 18 Nicholas Hamiton, OF (Lockport HS) who stands 6-foot-0, 170-pounds has recently exploded onto the national scene catching the eye of college and professional scouts. He is an outstanding athlete evidenced by his 6.37 60 time who roams the outfield with ease. He plays his summer baseball for a team based out of Canada (Great Lake Canadians), but goes to HS in Lockport NY. Very gifted, crude athlete who needs more time in the box, and around the game. Works with a simple approach, high-end athlete to keep an eye on.
