PBR:
When did you start looking into schools?
Pedone: I first started to look into schools in the spring season of my Junior year. I talked to my school ball coach and he really opened my eyes to collegiate baseball. That's when I knew I wanted to make playing college baseball a reality.

PBR:
When did you go on your first college visit?
Pedone: The summer going into my senior year. It was actually St. Bonaventure at your PBR Top Prospect games.

PBR:
What did PBR offer you from a recruiting standpoint (The Process)?

Pedone:
PBR gave me the best chance to make my dream a reality, it made my college baseball career more attainable. The amount of looks and interest I gained from colleges was unbelievable, and I am very grateful for the opportunities provided from you guys.

PBR:
What did you like about the PBR events you attended?

Pedone:
I loved the baseball atmosphere that surrounded it. Everything was very organized and planned out. As a player all you had to do was show up and bring your A game.

PBR:
Do you think showcases are necessary for players looking to pursue a collegiate baseball career?

Pedone:
Absolutely, for me without showcases it would have been very difficult for me to find a college to play at, but for some people they may perform in showcase tournaments and get interest there. I highly recommend attending showcases though.

PBR: How did you land at your commitment?

Pedone:
I knew that Cortland has a great baseball program, and that they know how to win. Coming from my high school team, I am used to a winning atmosphere and that is exactly what I wanted in my college decision. When I visited Cortland I knew that it was the place for me, it just had that feeling and I can't wait to spend my next 4 years there as a college baseball player and a student.

PBR:
What words of advice would you give for the upcoming classes based on your recruiting experience?

Pedone:
Don't get upset over failure, and to be patient with the recruiting process. Failure is apart of the game and being able to deal with it is a major asset to have as a ball player. Patience is also very key, you will see people you know beginning to commit to schools, and you will think that you are late with your decision, but you are not you have to wait for the right school for you and you will know when that college shows interest.  Finally, that you never know who is watching you, play every play like it is your last, and enjoy it.
