This Saturday's event will feature 27 uncommitted 2018 grads, some who were transferred over from our moved Western NY Unsigned Senior Event. Today we take a look at 14 pitchers who will take the mound immediately after the Junior College Pitchers from the Upstate JUCO Sophomore Showcase. Registration for this event closes at 9pm Wednesday night.

2018 Pitchers

Jason Haselkorn RHP / Homer , NY / 2018 Projectable frame at  6-foot-3 150 pounds. Works his FB on a downward plane with a 12-to-6 CB. Repeats delivery, more in the tank (Mid 70's FB, up to 78 MPH).

 

Justin Matteson RHP / 3B / Westmoreland, NY / 2018 It's been some time since we last saw Justin and he's now 6-foot-4, 205 pounds. Was low 70's a year and a half ago with a long and loose arm action. Might be a sleeper pick come Saturday.

 

Joshua Miles RHP / SS / Olean , NY / 2018 Rankings  State Rank:226 POS:60 Easy arm from the 6-foot-2 185 pound RHP who routinely sits in the 78-80 MPH range. Will be looking for more polish to his breaking ball and a possible change up this time around.

 

Shane Tiernan SS / RHP / Madrid Waddington , NY / 2018 Rankings  State Rank:212 POS:30 Could be the surprise of the event. Athletic but raw at 6-foot-2 180 pounds. The RHP has some life in his arm as evidenced by his outing at Oswego's Campus Series. Long legs and arms and was 82-84 MPH in August. If he has a better feel for command and his slider, he should have plenty of interest.

 

Adam Douglas RHP / OF / Institute of Technology at Syracuse Central, NY / 2018 First time attendee, local product that checks in at a solid 6-foot-0 215 pounds.

 

Isaac Blanford RHP / C / Fayetteville Manlius , NY / 2018 Another local product who plays for Baseball U of Central NY. 5-foot-11 170 pound RHP.

 

Jamison Lynd 1B / RHP / Greece Athena, NY / 2018 Solid frame at 5-foot-10 198 pounds, the RHP pitcher is another first time attendee.

 

Alex D'Anniballe RHP / 1B / St. Joseph's Collegiate , NY / 2018 Intriguing RHP that checks in at 6-foot-7 205 pounds. Looking forward to seeing what this first time attendee brings to the table.

 

Robert Oliveri RHP / 1B / Hilton, NY / 2018 Wiry/strong frame at 5-foot-11 162 pounds. The RHP works in the mid 70's (topping out at 78 MPH from a tough, low 3/4 arm slot. Slider/Slurve has some 10-to-4 shape as it cuts across the zone.

 

Grady Smith 2B / RHP / Pittsford Mendon , NY / 2018 Athletic 5-foot-11 165 pound frame. Works in the mid 70's with an over the top arm slot. 12-to-6 CB at 64-65 MPH.

 

Christopher Dwyer RHP / 1B / Baldwinsville, NY / 2018 Excited to see Dwyer again as I think he'll be on the rise come this Saturday. Full frame at 6-foot-2 235 pounds, the RHP worked in the 76-78 MPH range in late August as he was working his way back on the mound. Low 3/4 slot with some late arm-side action. Composed and works soley from the stretch.

 

Jack Andres LHP / C.W. Baker , NY / 2018 5-foot-11 LHP that is also a first time attendee. Local product who also plays for the Baldwinsville Swarm.

 

Gordon Hogben LHP / 1B / Saratoga Springs , NY / 2018 Another first timer, Hogben features a projectable frame at 6-foot-1 165 pounds. The Saratoga product also plays for the Saratoga Stampede.

 

Casey Collins LHP / CW Baker , NY / 2018 5-foot-10 140 pound LHP from nearby who also plays with the Baldwinsville Storm.
