New York All-Star Games Preview



The New York All-Star Games will take place Saturday September 17th, at Shuttlesworth Park in Amsterdam, NY. The format of the 1st annual All-Star Games consists of a morning player showcase, followed by a live simulated game giving pitchers a unique opportunity to compete against some of the best underclassman in the state.

The New York All-Star Games boast several ranked players in both the 2018 and 2019 classes. Highlighting the 2018 class next Saturday are two players in the states top 10. The No. 7 ranked prospect 3B/RHP Erubiel Candelario displays premium tools on the mound, and shows bat-speed at the plate. Another top 10 prospect is No. 10 1B Davey Moffett who brings a physical corner frame with above average power with the bat.

No. 12 RHP Thomas Bednarski, No. 14 1B/RHP Timothy Buchek, No. 15 3B David Judge, No. 18 C Trevor Henneman and No. 20 OF Dylan Vincent round out the prospects competing in the states top 20 rankings. Over 25 players attending the All-Star Games are ranked in the top 90 prospects.

Looking now into the 2019 class, three prospects in the top 10 will be in attendance next Saturday. No. 3 in the 2019 class is 1B/RHP Brian Norsen who brings a projectable front-line arm (already 81-84 mph) and some strength at the plate. No. 8 1B Will Carlone shows premium size and strength at the plate with an above average infield arm. No. 10 3B/RHP Alfredo Delgado has serious projection both as a position player and on the mound.

No. 11 2B Zach Selinger, No. 14 SS/3B Eric Volpi, No. 17 3B Pierce Hendershot and No. 19 C Connor Fitzsimmons round out the top prospects ranked in the top 20.

Complete Roster

The morning showcase will start promptly at 9:00 am with laser 60's, followed by positional evaluations and finishing with batting-practice. Simulated game will start after the positional workout.
