Our final series of 2018 fall All-Star Games will take place this Sunday on campus at SUNY Cortland. The morning session will kick off at 9am (8:15am check-in) with a traditional showcase until 10:30am. A live scrimmage game will run roughly from 10:30am-12:30pm.

The afternoon session will a 12:45 start (12noon check-in) with the showcase running to about 2pm. Structured scrimmage will run roughly 2:15-4:15pm.

Middle Infielders

Kobe Stenson SS / Liverpool, NY / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 12 / POS: 3 One of the tip flight 2020 grads in the state; soft hands; athletic actions up the middle with above average glove side range. Easy effort stroke in the box with line drive results; gap potential.

Kyle Gordon SS / 3B / Xaverian, NY / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 147 / POS: 24 6-foot-1 175 pound left side infielder. Spread setup at the plate; repeats timing. Has shown ability to drive the pull side gap. Serviceable at SS but may fit the 3B profile at the next level.

 

Brett Myers SS / 2B / Lowville Academy, NY / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 115 / POS: 25 Strong, athletic frame at 6-foot-1 175 pounds. Has shown some pop from the left side of the dish; sweeping swing path that repeats. Active, athletic approach at SS with more of 2B snap release. Should be able to handle 2B/SS/3B and possibly a corner outfield spot if need be.

 

 

Kenneth Dodson Jr SS / OF / Suffern , NY / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 49 / POS: 13 High end athlete with an above average arm from the left side. Recently committed to Canisius. A pleasure to watch perform.

 

 

David Cifonelli 2B / OF / Bishop Grimes, NY / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 298 / POS: 14 Repeatable lefty stroke; serviceable actions up the middle and in the outfield. Looking forward to seeing him over the course of game action.

 

 

David House SS / OF / Bishop Ludden, NY / 2019 5-foot-11 165 pound right-handed hitter with respectable numbers across the board; spread stance with a sweeping swing path. More of a 2B projection at the collegiate level.

 

 

Alex Wurster SS / 2B / Central Square, NY / 2020 First time attendee who also plays for the Syracuse Baseball Club.

 

 

Max Odum SS / 2B / Elmira, NY / 2020 Short, direct swing path that stays in the zone. Under control defender. Strength gains and experience will continue his upward trend.

 

 

Isaiah Zuchowski SS / 2B / Poland , NY / 2021 First time attendee at 5-foot-6 120 pounds. The right-handed hitter also plays for Baseball U of CNY.

 

 

Michael Lombardi SS / RHP / Fox Lane, NY / 2022 Lombardi had a great summer and a solid, all-around effort at the ENY ASG back on September 15th. Strong through the zone; can handle the left side and has been up to 78 MPH on the mound with a feel for secondary pitches.

 

 

Nicholas Haviland SS / 3B / Westhill, NY / 2021 First time attendee that also can pitch. The left-handed hitter also plays for Baseball U.

 

 

William Ruth 2B / C / Ithaca , NY / 2021 Another first time attendee that plays for Baseball U of CNY. 5-foot-7 120 pound right-handed hitter.

 

 

Caleb Walker SS / Deposit , NY / 2021 Solid middle infielder that started for Class D State Champions at 2B. Displayed actions that will play from both sides of the bag. 5-foot-10 165 pound left-handed hitter that will be a player to follow.

 

 

Anthony Lapine SS / RHP / Liverpool, NY / 2021 2021 grad that made his way into our summer Scout Blogs; flashed tools as a position player and as a pitcher on separate occasions.

 

 

Alexander Murray 2B / RHP / Weedsport , NY / 2020 Saw Murray almost a year ago; was a bit of a front foot hitter then. Looking forward to seeing his growth over that time frame.

 

 

Jake Zawadzki 2B / SS / Westhill, NY / 2021 Another first time attendee. The 5-foot-5 128 pound right-handed hitter also plays for the Syracuse Elite.
