Kyle Warner, LHP, Springville Griffith HS, NY (2016)
Warner stands 6-foot-1 180-pounds with a lean pitchers frame. On the mound he rotates his hips over the rubber and turns shoulders to the first base side with a long back (towards SS) arm action. He uses plus extension from a mid-¾ slot with a fastball sitting 81-83 mph with late action. His curveball sat 73 mph with an early hump and 1/7 shape. If he focuses on getting more on top of the curveball and out in front more he will see later, hard action. Very promising young lefty with a lofty ceiling.

Analysis:
With great projectable size, Warner is the real deal on the mound. The southpaw has a fastball in the low 80's already and with some hard work this winter getting that in the mid 80's is not hard to believe. With his curveball needs some fine tuning as it breaks early with not a lot of hard shape to it. Quicker hand speed out in front will generate more spin and allow his curveball to develop. Very excited to watch him progress this spring at Spring Griffith HS.
