Scouting Report On BeVard:

Colin BeVard MIF/OF (West Genesee HS, NY 2016)
BeVard stands 5-foot-10 185-pounds and is very athletic. With the bat he sets up with his weight back and uses a knee lift with a stride on the swing. His swing path is slightly inclined with his hands staying inside the ball well and good extension after contact. His exit velocity was 88 mph off a tee. From the INF he uses good quick footwork and gets around the ball. He throws from a low 3/4 slot with good arm strength at 82 mph. He ran a 6.58 60 yard dash showing extreme athleticism.

Analysis:
BeVard has some very special tools and projects to be a nice prospect moving forward. He's very athletic and runs extremely well showing a 6.58 60 yard dash. His arm is pretty good too showing 82 mph across the field at SS, I think if he gets his arm to a high 3/4 and lengthens it out some he could be a very good OF at the next level. He already has the quickness and he's a raw athlete that will make the adjustments. With the bat he generates some really good hand speed and showed he has some pull power. He has been invited to Aug 16th NYS Top Prospect Games at St. Bonaventure University.
