Scouting Report on Bernacet
Jordan Bernacet 1B/OF (Schenectady HS, NY 2015)

Bernacet stands 5-foot-9 170-pounds but don't let the size fool you, this kid is a player. With the bat his setup is tall with his front foot open. He uses a leg lift for timing with no stride before the swing getting back to even. His bat path is slightly inclined with a high balanced finish generating 84 mph bat speed. In the OF he plays the ball off to his glove side, using a crow hop to generate power throwing from a high 3/4 slot at 78 mph. At 1B he plays the ball out in front of his body and with a clean transfer. He ran a 7.1 60 yard dash showing good athleticism.

Analysis
At 5-foot-9 170-pounds Bernacet is going to have to stand out and make some noise during the recruiting process. Watching him play I would say he's ok with that, it appears to fuel his fire and his desire to play at the next level. He can hit; he utilizes everything he has with a nice compact swing and makes consistent contact. He tripled two times in our game situation not only showing gap to gap power, but also some athleticism. There's no questions he can play, it's where. I see him fitting in nicely in the OF at the next level. He runs well (7.1) arm is average but accurate, and you want his bat in the lineup. We are excited to see Bernacet Aug 16th at our NYS Top Prospect Games at St. Bonaventure University.
