Recent Improvements: Edwin came in this preseason an inch taller and with 15 lbs added on putting him at 5-foot-11, 175 lbs. The added strength was noticeable in the actions and results while also maintaining his twitch and lowering his 60 time to 7.23 seconds. Offensively Edwin made a big jump starting with his bat speed which jumped up to 74 MPH, paired with advanced rotational acceleration score of 24 g's point to signs of power potential in the near future. The swing metrics translated into his BP where he made consistent, hard contact with max exit velocity of 92 MPH with an average of 87. Defensively Betances moves well to both sides; the glove is soft with clean transfers while his strong arm should only continue to improve. Has the ability to throw from multiple arm angles and make the play on the run. Will be an intriguing follow this summer as his stock continues to rise.
