No. 4 Scott Blewett

Scouting Report
Blewett oozes projection when he takes the hill with his 6-foot-6, 210-pound frame. Pitching for Syracuse Sports Zone against East Cobb Baseball, he went five innings and allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three. He also hit a batter. Blewett cruised in his first three innings of work before surrendering three runs in his final two. In the first, he sat 90-93 mph and settled in at 89-90 for the next two innings. He has a clean, easy delivery and gets downhill well. He also worked in a curveball with good potential at 74-76. During the spring we saw Blewett with much of the same, 90-94 mph fastball with a devastating breaking ball. He was verbally committed to St. John’s until the Kansas City Royals selected him in the 2nd round in last years amateur player draft.
