Scouting Report

Physical: Sturdy 5-foot-11, 195 lb build.
 
Pitching: Builds momentum through the delivery and pitches with intent. Drives the knee up to the chest with a coil at the stack; drops into the back side as he gets down the mound in line with a long stride; glove arm gets up as pulls the ball out out and back out of the glove before accelerating through a natural 3/4 slot (5'3" AVG release HT). FB sits 82-84 MPH with advanced spin and ride (2256 RPM / 25.6 IVB) through the zone for high swing and miss potential up in the zone. CB has a slurvy profile with early action out of the hand and up to 13" lateral action. CH has high spin but a 6-9 MPH differential with plus arm side fade up to 21". Stuff has plus life and movement that can be highly effective at the next level.

Physical: 5-foot-11, 200 pounds; full, sturdy frame.
Pitching: Good tempo to get down the slope fast, leans back slightly on leg kick and creates a bunch of shoulder tilt traveling down the mound. Over the top slot that floats around high 3/4. Long arm swing out of the glove. FB: T 76MPH, 73-74 MPH. Spotted the fastball well once he settled in, floated in the top of the zone. CB: 60-62 MPH. Presented a quality curveball with good vertical break on it, could be a good early count pitch to get ahead. CH: 65-66 MPH. The changeup was impressive as he throws it from the same slot as his fastball, creating a lot of depth to the pitch because he is able to work off the top of it.
