OUTLOOK:  

Most programs couldn't handle the loss of a player like sophomore Chris Machamer, but for Walsh Jesuit, the beat goes on. Equipped with one of the state's top junior classes, the Warriors are poised for a big season and run for an appearance at Huntington in June. The pitching rotation is anchored by a trio of college caliber arms in Benner, Feltner, and Shoaff. Meanwhile, the lineup will be anchored by familiar faces in senior Nate Romans (OSU recruit) along with junior outfielder Blake Jenkins, who is Division I recruit. In addition to Machamer's departure, Coach Kaczmar lost his four-year starter Cassady Brown to graduation. Junior Connor Regan is expected to take the reigns behind the plate this season. There is no doubt that pitching, defense, and athleticism will be the strengths of Coach Kaczmar's squad. If the hitting follows, the Warriors will be a dangerous opponent in 2014.
