2014 Prospect Watch: Riley Mahan (Cincinnati Moeller)

While the class of 2014 has several years until graduation, Riley Mahan has emerged as a prospect to follow in the coming years.

Mahan (6-2, 165) is a versatile player with the ability to play the middle infield as well as the outfield. He uses a loose and easy throwing motion that generates plus velocity from the infield and outfield. He shows quick feet and great lateral movement while playing the infield.

At the plate, Mahan hits from the left side. He shows gap-to-gap power to all fields. With his large, projectable frame, he will continue to add power that will complement his speed on the base paths (6.9/60 yard dash).

In the spring, Mahan plays for Coach Tom Held at one of the most successful high programs in the state, Moeller High School in Cincinnati.

In the summer, the 2014 graduate plays for the Ohio Force, one of the top travel teams at that age level in the Midwest.
