With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Dalton Bulldogs

Team Name: Dalton Bulldogs
Head Coach: Scott Huth
Division: IV
2015 Record: 22-8
Conference Record: Wayne County Athletic League, 11-3, 2nd Place
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/1

2016 Team Strengths:

• Leadership is our main strength going into this year. Bryce Husted, Caleb Manley, and Anthony Weaver are our main guys returning with any time at the varsity level. They are three solid young men both in the classroom and on the diamond.

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Pitching depth is going to be our main weakness this year. Bryce Husted is the only returnee with time on the mound at the varsity level.

Coach Outlook: "Going to be a young team after graduating the entire infield, pitching staff, and centerfielder. Looking to get a lot of younger kids playing time for the first time at the varsity level. We do have a nice group of young men who do/have played a lot of ball in the summer and fall over the years. We have some big shoes to fill after graduating a group of young men who had a lot of success over the last four years."

PBR Outlook: Dalton and coach Huth could be a factor come tournament time. However, the Bulldogs will be young in 2016, making the development throughout the season a big factor on if Dalton will make a nice run in 2016.
