With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Fisher Catholic Irish

Team Name: Fisher Catholic Irish
Head Coach: Jack Faulkner
Division: IV
2015 Record: 19-11
Conference Record: Mid-State Cardinal, 9-1
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/4

2016 Team Strengths:

• Top four pitchers return from last year's district runner-up team.

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Players playing different positions last season due to injuries may be asked to play new positions again this season. This could be a strength or weakness depending on how quickly they are able to adapt.

Coach Outlook: "A tough non-conference schedule should have the Irish prepared to return to the District Final."

PBR Outlook: The Irish and coach  Jack Faulkner are locked and loaded for a nice run in 2016. Pitching and depth has Fisher Catholic as one to watch in Division IV

• Zach Saffell, P/SS, SO, 6'1" 170, Mid-State League Cardinal "Player of the Year", First Team All District, (.398 BA, 6 2B, 25 RBI, 26 R. Pitching: 6-4, 1.55 ERA, 64 K)
• Tom Sylvester, 3B, SR, 5'9" 185, Four year starter, First Team All League, Second Team All District, .289 BA, 28 RBI
• Blake Saffell, OF/P, SR, 6'0" 180, First Team All League, Second Team All District
• Brock Conrad, C/OF, JR, 5'8" 160, Second Team All League, HM All District, .288 BA, 12 R, 13 RBI
• Allen McCall, 1B, JR, 6'3" 195, Three year starter, Only played nine games in 2015 due to injury, .364 BA
