2019 Future 50 At Ohio State - Class Of 2023 - Sneak Peek: Position Guys

Cameron Gilkerson OF / LHP / Hilliard Darby, OH / 2023

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 190-pound uber physical.
Swing Mechanics: Left-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Load is fluid and athletic.
Hit: As physical of a bat as you’ll find in his class. Strength and athleticism are through the roof. Ball absolutely flies off his bat. Doesn’t look like a typical ‘23 swinging the bat. Had three hits in game, including two extra base hits.
Power: 92 mph exit velocity. Top raw power we’ve seen in the state at this age group. Up to 96 mph off the bat according to rapsodo and lift the ball naturally.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer.
Run: 4.91 H-1st.
Field: Very athletic for how physical he is. Moves well in the outfield with feel and mechanically sound feet.
Throw: Clean arm that will continue to see easy velocity gains as physical maturation takes its course. 77 mph arm strength to home plate.
Defensive Projection: Corner Outfield
