We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ohio's 2022 Scout Day: JB Yeager. This was a great opportunity for the class of 2023-2026 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

2022 Organizational Spotlight: JB Yeager

Jonathan Sweet talks with us about the organization.

1) How do you feel the showcase went?
Sweet: The showcase was well run as usual and is a great value-add for our program. It allows the players to get a feel for events like this and also be around teammates.

2) Who are some of the prospects that stood out to you?
Sweet: JB Yeager is blessed to have a number of great players. On the mound. Micah Valdez and Sam Zimmerly stood out. At the plate, William Hendon, Will Record, Connor Roberts and Will Summers showed well.  Ben Schoster is a switch-hitter with great upside and plus numbers. Behind the plate, Connor Roberts went sub-2.0 in his pop times and William Hendon saw great improvements from last year in his pop time and velocity.

3) Any performances worth mentioning?

  • Yeager 17U - Will Record hit 90 exit velo for the first time and William Hendon showed well there, too. Ben Schoster showed well in the infield and at the plate. Behind the plate, Connor went sub-2.0. On the mound, Micah is steady as they go and is a strike machine. Great upside to his velocity.
  • Yeager 16U - Nick Gutzwiller had a solid day on the mound, especially for LHP.
  • Yeager 14U - Wil Kraus showed well at the plate with an exit velo of 84.

4) In looking at summer, touch on some highlights that are ahead and what you expect.
Sweet: Yeager will continue to compete at the highest level and will have numerous kids commit to college once again

5) Are you registered for any PBR tournaments and, if so, which ones and what are your thoughts on them?
Sweet: Currently registered for numerous Flames events that are PBR scouted and will be adding PBR tourneys if the high school season allows.
