With 2024 now in the past, Prep Baseball Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2025. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2025 Spring Team Preview: Chillicothe Cavaliers

2024 Tourney Finish: Sectionals loss
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/5

Coach Outlook: "It’s been an offseason full of growth, and we’re eager to see how that translates when the season kicks off. Our senior leadership is consistently improving, and the players are fired up to hit the field this spring. We’re bringing back 97% of our pitching staff from last season, and everyone knows it’s going to be a battle for those precious innings on the mound. The competition is fierce, and that only makes us better."

  • Trent Wade, RHP, 2025, 4-year starter 41.2 IP, 3-5 on the mound, 3.696 ERA, 45 Ks in 41.2 IP); offensively .282 AVG, 4 2B, 1 HR;
  • TJ Barr, 3 year starting catcher
