With 2024 now in the past, Prep Baseball Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2025. 2025 Spring Team Preview: Dublin Scioto Irish

2024 Tourney Finish: District Semifinals loss to Olentangy Liberty

Coach Outlook: "Our 2025 team is eager to continue the success had in recent years (2023: OCC capital champions; 2024: district runner up; back to back 20+ win seasons). These seniors are determined to leave a legacy of their own. We return 5 starters and have a lot of talented young players that are pushing to impact our lineup sooner rather than later. This is an exciting year because of the depth that we have at almost every position. There are so many guys that have the opportunity to contribute to our team goals in a big way, which has led to an extremely competitive atmosphere within the program. This competitiveness along with the tight knit culture of our team will be the driving force behind what should be another great season."

  • Aydin Thum, 2B, 2025, 5-11/170-pounds, R/R. Team captain. Last year stats- .987 fielding percentage.
  • Andrew Polchow, C, 2025, 6-2/230-pounds, R/R. Team captain. Last year stats- .250 AVG, 12 RBI, 9 HBP.
  • Michael Wangler, P, 2025, 6-4/200-pounds, R/R. Last year stats- 7-1, 2.80 ERA.
  • Simon Newkirk, P, 2025, 5-11/185-pounds, R/R. Last year stats- 15 GP, 1.63 ERA.
