With 2024 now in the past, Prep Baseball Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2025. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2025 Spring Team Preview: Lima Senior Spartans

Team Name: Lima Senior Spartans
Head Coach: TCasey Reed
Division: II
2024 Record: 11-16
2024 Tourney Finish: Sectional Finals loss to Anthony Wayne
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/7

Coach Outlook: "We return 7 letter winners from last year’s league championship team. Will be a bit of a youth movement for us this year as we will start many underclassman this year so we may go through some growing pains. We will have to replace our top 2 pitchers and hitters from last year but are looking forward to some younger guys stepping up. Looking for our varsity experience from last year to pay dividends for us again this year."

  • Clay Jordan, 2B/RHP, 2025, 4 year starter hit .352 last year, 1st team all league
  • Riley Miller, C/UTL, 2027, returning starter, honorable mention all league
  • Emmanuel Jokinen-Rutz, INF/RHP, 2027, returning starter, HM all league, Hit .329 last year 

Class of 2025 Prospects To Keep Eye On:

  • Clay Jordan
  • Korben Moellering, 1B/RHP, hit .324 last year 

Class of 2026 Prospects To Keep Eye On:

  • Cooper Twining, RHP/UTL will become our number 1 this year
  • Yahir Brito-Diaz, UTL/RHP, 2 year letter winner
  • Blake Hahn, 1B/RHP, 2 year letter winner

  • Emmanuel Jokinen-Rutz 
  • Riley Miller
