With 2020 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best 2021 high school coverage that can be found anywhere. 2021 Spring Team Preview: Blanchester Wildcats

Team Name: Blanchester Wildcats

2019 Record: 16-9
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/4

2021 Team Strengths:

Coach Outlook: "I am very excited to get started. It has been a long time coming. This is one of the more talented teams we have had. We are very strong up the middle and have three quality arms. We graduated only three seniors from a year ago. So, we have a good amount of experience returning. Defense is going to be our question mark. If we can make the routine plays we will be a very tough team to beat."

  • Brody Rice, SS/P, 2021, 6-4/210, R/R. 4-year starter, team captain, Cedarville commit. 2019 stats: .362 AVG, .500 OBP, 7 2B, 2 HR, 16 RBI, 14 SB. Did not pitch in 2019 due to torn labrum. Will pitch in 2021 and plan on being in the top 2.
  • Cole Ficke, C/2B, 2021, 5-10, 185, R/R. 4-year starter, team captain, Miami Hamilton commit. 2019 stats: .375 AVG, .500 OBP, 8 2B, 2 HR, 18 RBI, 13 SB. 148 INN C, 3 PB, Sub 2.0 Pop Time.
  • Trenton Czaika, OF/P, 5-10, 175, L/L. 3-year starter, team captain, trying to find D3 school to play in college. 2019 stats: .333 AVG, .422 OBP, 2 3B, 16 RBI, 19 SB.
  • Reagan Burch, OF, 5-10, 175, L/L. 3-year starter, PBR top 10 2022 OF in Ohio. 2019 stats: .378 AVG, .446 OBP, 31 hits, 6 2B, 2 3B, 26 SB.
