With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Buckeye Valley Barons

Team Name: Buckeye Valley Barons

Division: II
2018 Record: 18-8
Conference Record: Mid Ohio Athletic Conference, 9-4 (3rd)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/6

2019 Team Strengths:

Coach Outlook: "Coming off of a winning season of 18-8, a year removed from going 4-18, this team has learned how to win. As we continue into this year, learning how to win within the most important component of the season, the tournament, will be a primary focus. I believe that we have the ability to win at a very high level given the returning experience and leadership within this program that has been developed. If able to take another step mentally, Buckeye Valley Baseball will improve on last season."

PBR Outlook: After taking a step forward in 2018, coach Drew Kirby and his talented Barons are looking to take another step in 2019. Look for Buckeye Valley to be a team to watch all year long.
