2023 Spring Team Preview: Dublin Scioto Irish

Team Name: Dublin Scioto Irish
Head Coach: Ryan Longbrake

2022 Record: 13-15
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/8

Coach Outlook: "Last year was a great season, but I think many, including myself, would say that we fell short of our expectations. We challenged ourselves with a very competitive non-league schedule to prepare us for the tournament. Many of these games were very close, but we couldn't quite get over the hump. In the tournament, we had a great opening round victory to put ourselves in position for a deep tournament run, but lost to a scrappy Westerville North team who went on to be District champions. The reason I bring this up is not to live in the past, but to learn from it. We had extremely lofty expectations last year and we failed to meet them. This year we have just as talented of a roster, if not more-so, and an incredible senior class (11 strong) full of experience, leadership, and a determination to make this a special season. I'm excited to see this team harness the frustration of not achieving our goals last year and use it as fuel each practice, workout, and game to get the job done!"
