With 2021 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best 2022 high school coverage that can be found anywhere. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2022 Spring Team Preview: Grove City Greyhounds

Team Name: Grove City Greyhounds

2021 Record: 22-8
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6

2022 Team Strengths:

Coach Outlook: "Great group of seniors that all played a lot last year to lead us into the 2022 season. A lot of our top arms are back this year. We will put this outfield up against anyone in the state-- 3 centerfielders."

Top Returning Players:

  • Keegan Holmstrom--2024 LHP/1B-- All-State as a frosh 6-1 on the mound .418 avg. elected captain
  • Dennis Ritlinger-Nirider--2022 CF -- Lefty/Lefty -- All-State as a jr. hit .424 with 12 extra base hits, elected captain
  • Zak Sigman-- 2023 RHP / INF will be a big arm for us
  • Jackson Ware-- 2024 LHP/OF -- 4 year starter, elected captain. .385 as a junior Will be a top arm for us as well.
  • Trent Ruffing-- 2024 INF hit .370 as a junior 2B
  • Ty Clifton-- 1B/DH Big Lefty bat in our lineup .415 as a junior
