Izaiah Withrow, LHP, Bloom Carroll HS, Class of 2017

PBR: Why did you choose La Roche?

Withrow: When I went on the visit it was just beautiful campus and the area was gorgeous. I also wanted to be part of a top notch baseball program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Withrow: Ohio Wesleyan and Bluffton

PBR:  Where did the coaches first see you compete and how did your relationship develop with the rest of the coaching staff?

Withrow: They actually never saw me compete. I sent out an email to Coach Rowe he saw the videos I sent him and he asked me to come up for a visit.

PBR: What role does the coaching staff expect you to play during your first year on campus?

Withrow: Come in and compete for a starting job, learn from the upperclassman.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

Withrow: My dad has always been pushing me to be better and improve myself

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?

Withrow: Miami Valley Prospects.  I would say it would be a toss up between getting to play at Cleveland Indians Stadium for the Continental Championship while with            the Ohio Elite, or winning the High School State D2 Championship my freshman year.

PBR: What were you stats last season?

   Withrow: .391 AVG, .494 OBP, 27 H,

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you have faced

Withrow: Tyler Brown
